On January 11, 2001, NASA Administrator Daniel Goldin, accompanied by NASA Chief Engineer W. Brian Keegan, conducted a live Webcast to discuss the key messages in the NIAT Report. The Report is the product of an Agency team chartered by the Office of the Chief Engineer to develop an integrated plan which would address the recommendations from reports on:

the Mars Program
the Shuttle wiring issues and
the assessment of NASA's
Faster, Better, Cheaper (FBC) practices

Due to the importance of NIAT, it is highly encouraged that all employees read the NIAT Report. This will help all KSC employees become knowledgeable in this important Agency initiative.

A Kennedy Space Center senior management steering board and a working group was formed to help KSC formulate a plan on the best approach to implementing the NIAT recommendations.  Each KSC directorate had a representative in the working group to assist with this effort.  Here is the report that was generated and the presentation that was given to the Center Director.
